Submission & Author Guidelines
Submission Process
The author prepares the manuscript ensuring absolute scientific originality, clinical data integrity, and proper citation of all sources in physical therapy, rehabilitation, community health, and allied medical sciences. All listed authors must meet internationally accepted authorship criteria under ICMJE Recommendations. Required supporting documents—including institutional review board (IRB) ethical approval, informed consent records for human participants, conflict of interest declarations, and funding disclosures—are fully assembled prior to submission. The author confirms through the submission portal that the manuscript has not been submitted to any other journal simultaneously, then proceeds to formally submit the manuscript to the Journal of Exact Community Health & Rehabilitation Sciences (JECH) via the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform (https://jech.exactresolution.com/) published by EXACT RESEARCH SOLUTIONS (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED.
Upon receipt, the editorial office conducts an initial administrative assessment for scope alignment, technical formatting, and submission completeness, followed by mandatory plagiarism screening using Turnitin. Manuscripts that do not pass screening or exhibit unacceptably high similarity indices are returned to the author for required revision and resubmission prior to further evaluation. Manuscripts that successfully clear initial screening enter strict double-blind peer review, where they are evaluated by independent subject-matter experts on scientific merit, methodological rigor, clinical relevance, and adherence to ethical standards.
Based on peer-reviewer feedback, the Editor-in-Chief may request major or minor revisions from the author. Revised manuscripts are re-evaluated by the handling editor or reviewers before a final editorial decision is rendered. If the manuscript is rejected, the author is promptly notified via OJS with constructive reviewer feedback. If the manuscript is accepted, the corresponding author receives a formal acceptance notification followed by an Article Processing Charge (APC) invoice of 26,000 PKR (for Pakistani authors) or 100 USD (for international authors). Upon confirmed APC payment, the manuscript proceeds to copyediting, professional typesetting, and galley proof preparation. The corresponding author reviews and approves the final PDF proof before the article is formally published online in Open Access under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. Published articles remain under ongoing post-publication monitoring and PKP Preservation Network (PKP-PN) archiving, where formal errata/corrections may be issued for minor errors, or retractions enforced in cases of confirmed serious ethical misconduct or scientific integrity failures in line with COPE guidelines.

ARTICLE PROCESSING CHARGES (APC) / PUBLICATION FEE POLICY
The Journal of Exact Community Health & Rehabilitation Sciences (JECH), published by EXACT RESEARCH SOLUTIONS (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED, is committed to full transparency regarding all publication-related fees, in accordance with the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing as defined by DOAJ, COPE, OASPA, and WAME.
Submission Fee

Peer Review / Processing Fee

No Review or Processing Fee: Initial editorial assessment, plagiarism screening via Turnitin, double-blind peer review, and all editorial decision-making are conducted entirely free of charge.
Article Processing Charge (APC)

International Authors: USD 100
Charged only after formal acceptance following double-blind peer review. The APC covers professional copyediting, typesetting and formatting, permanent online hosting, digital preservation and archiving (PKP Preservation Network), and editorial and administrative support. No additional charges are applied at any stage of the process.
Editorial Independence

Fee Processing is Separate from Editorial Decisions: In accordance with DOAJ and COPE requirements, all editorial decisions—including acceptance, revision, and rejection—are made solely on the basis of scientific merit, clinical relevance, and methodological rigor, and are entirely independent of APC payment. Fee processing is handled administratively and has no bearing on editorial outcomes.
No Hidden or Additional Charges

Full Fee Transparency: JECH does not charge for color figures, page length, supplementary files, manuscript corrections, or any other editorial or administrative handling. The journal's fee structure is fully transparent and complete as stated above.
Fast-Track or Priority Review

No Priority Fees: The journal does not charge or accept fees for fast-track review, accelerated publication, or priority editorial handling. All submitted manuscripts undergo the same rigorous double-blind peer-review timeline.
Waiver Policy

Partial or Full Waivers Available: JECH may offer waivers on a case-by-case basis for authors from low- and middle-income countries, PhD students, early-career researchers in physical therapy and community rehabilitation, contributors to special thematic issues, or authors facing documented financial hardship. Waiver requests must be submitted with written justification at or immediately after formal manuscript acceptance. Waiver decisions are made independently of editorial decisions and do not influence the peer-review process or publication outcome in any way.
Sources of Funding

Journal Funding & Author Disclosure: JECH has no external source of commercial funding. The journal receives no institutional, governmental, or commercial advertising funding. Its sole source of operational revenue is the Article Processing Charge collected from authors of accepted manuscripts. This is disclosed in full accordance with DOAJ transparency requirements.

Author Funding Disclosure: Authors who receive any grant, institutional support, or research funding covering publication costs must declare this explicitly in the Funding / Acknowledgments section of their manuscript. This declaration will appear in the final published article.
