Scope of the Policy

This policy applies universally to all individuals and communications across the entire editorial and publishing lifecycle of JECH, including but not limited to:

  • Manuscript preparation, initial OJS submission, and administrative correspondence.

  • Double-blind peer-review evaluations, reviewer comments, and editorial decision-making.

  • Formal communications between authors, handling editors, peer reviewers, and publisher support staff.

  • Post-publication discussions, handling of complaints and appeals, retractions, or errata processing.

Editorial Rights and Actions

To safeguard the professional integrity and safety of our scholarly community, JECH and EXACT RESEARCH SOLUTIONS (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED reserve the right to:

  • Refuse or immediately cease communication in any editorial or administrative workflow where abusive, hostile, or harassing conduct occurs.

  • Cancel manuscript submissions or terminate peer-reviewer and editorial board appointments for individuals or groups who violate these professional standards.

  • Take formal disciplinary or protective measures, including reporting verified abusive behavior to the individual’s affiliated academic institution, professional licensing board, or legal authorities where appropriate.
