Multiple & Concurrent Submissions

The Journal of Exact Community Health & Rehabilitation Sciences (JECH), published by EXACT RESEARCH SOLUTIONS (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED, strictly prohibits multiple, concurrent, or duplicate manuscript submissions. To uphold the rigorous integrity of scholarly publishing, preserve editorial objectivity, and ensure absolute fairness during our double-blind peer-review process, the journal enforces a zero-tolerance approach toward redundant submission in physical therapy, rehabilitation, community health, and allied health sciences.

Authors must explicitly confirm upon submission via the OJS platform (https://jech.exactresolution.com/) that their manuscript—whether in whole, in part, or in substantial draft form—is not currently under evaluation, review, or consideration for publication by any other journal, book chapter, or formal conference proceedings.

Investigation and Action

If the editorial office or handling editor receives notification or uncovers evidence suggesting a concurrent or duplicate submission:

  1. Processing Hold: OJS manuscript evaluation and double-blind peer review will be paused immediately.

  2. Ethical Investigation: The Editor-in-Chief will conduct a formal investigation in strict compliance with ICMJE Recommendations and Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) flowcharts.

  3. Formal Clarification: The corresponding author will be contacted and required to provide an immediate written explanation and supporting documentation regarding the status of the work elsewhere.

Outcomes and Penalties

  • If a duplicate or concurrent submission is confirmed, the manuscript will be summarily rejected without further editorial consideration.

  • For serious, intentional, or repeated violations, JECH reserves the right to enforce administrative restrictions, including prohibiting all listed authors from submitting new manuscripts to the journal for a specified period.

  • Severe breaches may be reported to the authors' institutional oversight boards, ethics committees, or sponsoring research bodies.

Author Responsibility

To prevent inadvertent ethical breaches, authors are strongly advised to proactively disclose all related research context in their cover letter, including:

  • Closely related submissions or companion manuscripts currently under review elsewhere.

  • Overlapping datasets, clinical methodologies, or previously published preliminary analyses.

  • Public preprint server postings or working papers (e.g., medRxiv).

  • Published conference abstracts, poster presentations, or thesis material.

Failure to disclose substantial thematic or data overlap constitutes academic misconduct and will trigger a formal ethical review and corrective action.
